Ah, the cyclical nature of fashion… What’s in one season may be out the next, but there’s a certain beauty in the inevitability that trends can and do make a comeback. While the summer season is sizzling on, team Outfix is dreaming of the latest and greatest upcoming fall trends. We’re super excited, and you should be too. Scroll down for a further look…

SQUARED

We’ve all witnessed the square toe obsession this summer. Fan favorites such as the  Carrie By Far sandal, and Bottega’s mesh rendition have fortified the square toe trend into place so much that we’re going to be loving this trend all through winter.

We’re so into these flats by Hermés. They’re minimalistic, will pair nicely for any occasion, and leave a subtle yet unique look. We love how this look was styled- simple contrasting colors and a bold accessory.

These knee-high boots are a dream. The snakeskin trend is still alive and well, and should not be ignored this winter. We especially appreciate the funky heel, because what else could we expect from Dries Van Noten?

LACE ME UP

The lace-up style is a #teamoutfix favorite. It’s timeless in silhouette and function, and we believe this trend is about to have a major moment. Lace-up boots are worth the investment because they’re perfect for transitional periods, and they have a high wearability factor. Here are the ones we’re loving.

These white Loubs have stolen our hearts…. These are perfect for those who want to test out the trend in a unique way –  they offer a subtle yet elegant alternative to the traditional lace up boot. The signature red soles accompanied by the embellishments will add flair to any outfit. Pair with your favorite skinny jeans, throw on a leather jacket, and you’re good to go.

ALAÏA never disappoints, and these booties are no exception. The combination of leather and mesh is striking, and the leather cap toe adds a defined kick to any outfit. We’d love to wear these with a pleated skirt and turtleneck crop.

We love how patent leather and a funky heel can transform a simple lace up bootie. The heel is wide enough to ensure maximum support, and we appreciate the understated zip in the back because let’s be real – we all hate tying our shoes.

FEELING FUZZY.

We saw a TON of fuzzy jackets/coats and shearling this past winter, and the trend is still thriving. Expect to see a ton of shearling on footwear this season. Less UGG, more yay.

You can’t set a trend without Off-White hopping on the bandwagon- and in the best way. Who would think to design NEON shearling strappy heels?! These are perfect for someone who wants to experiment with adding color into their wardrobes.

We’ve adored these shearling boots since we saw them in the display window at Saks Fifth. This combination of shearling and leather remind us of the NYC cult favorite. Part edgy, part cozy, fully #coolgirlstyle status.

SKY HIGH

Platform heels have come a long way. We distinctly remember the coveted 2011 Jeffrey Campbell Litas. They were easy and comfortable to wear while still maintaining significant heel height. Here are some others were currently digging:

We can already imagine holiday season in these beauties. We’re thinking of a long sleeve sweater dress, white stockings, and a burgundy lip. You can’t go wrong.

These are giving us major cat woman vibes – you have to wear these with leather leggings, at least once. Similar to the classic Lita’s, the monochromatic matte detailing gives a mod 2019 update. We’re envisioning a white puffer jacket and a bright colored tee.
